Hometown: Howell, Michigan

Personal Information:I am a 45 year old mother of two girls. My hobby of lifting weights turned into a passion
for competing in figure at the age of 43. Prior to this, I completed my BS in Psychology,
was certified as a personal trainer, and decided to do something to better my health. The knowledge I
have gained from competing through Julie has led me to excel in all aspects of my life, personal, mental, and
physical. I hope to someday be instrumental in promoting health and fitness in women
over the age of 40........many women in that demographic feel that it is 'too late', and I would liketo show them otherwise!
What are you greatest fitness accomplishments so far?With each competition I entered, I learned more and more. My goal was to just simply get on stage
and not fall over! From there, I have done well in the Master's classes, got in the best shape of my life, and
found the 'athlete' in me that until now, was never present.

What do you enjoy most about fitness?
The power that it brings. Not just physical power, but also self-confidence. I enjoy meeting new
friends that are also into the fitness lifestyle and being able to work together to reach common
goals........like lifting weights with the 'big boys'!

What are you fitness goals?
My goal this coming year is to compete in a National level figure show. My sights are set
on the Master's Nationals in July.

What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?
My example that I am setting for my daughters. To exemplify clean eating, hard work, and the importance of respecting your body. I want to be an active, strong grandma someday!

What is the best part about working with Julie?
There is no 'one best part'. The entire experience was so informative, fun, easy to understand,
and most of all, she is a great motivator. Her honest evaluation of progress was very helpful, her programs were safe, effective, and I was never left 'starving'.
Other trainers that I have worked with (for a very brief time) prior to Julie suggested what I felt were over-training, under-eating, and questionable supplement usage.

What is the worst part about working with Julie?
Are you kidding, is this even a real question? ha ha!

Favorite 'diet' food:
Beverly Int'l Ultra Size chocolate brownie........yum.
