Name:  Melissa Jackson

Info: I am 41yrs old and work as a Commodity Specialist.  I enjoy anything related to fitness.  My husband and I compete in Duathlons as a team where he rides the bike and I run.  I have been working out consistantly for over 10 years and can't imagine not having that as a priority in my daily life.  

What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?
I have previously won or placed in 5K or 10k races.  I ran my first half marathon last year at the Kentucky Derby.  Most recently, I competed in the Northern KY NPC Figure competition (35+) and placed 4th.

Transformation info - In training for the figure competion, my biggest transformation was becoming more lean in my most problem areas.  Eating clean was definately the biggest help in reaching my goal.
 
What do you enjoy most about fitness?  I enjoy the "high" I get when I've had a awsome workout.  It gives me more energy to get through my day.  And, it keeps me feeling younger and looking youger.

What are your fitness goals?  I plan to do more figure competitons in the future.  I will also continue to to run more races and possibly train for tri or bi event.

What motivates you to maintain a healthy lifestyle?  The changes I have seen in my body over the last few years has been incredible.  I am very self motivated and feel strongly about not going backwards and always trying to improve and push myself to go forward.

What is the best part about working with Julie?  She has been a great inspiration and so sincere in all her actions.  She was able to guide me in the right directions to reach goals that I would have not been able to on my own.  

What is the worst part about working with Julie?  Are you kidding?? Nothing bad.

Favorite 'diet' food:  Protein pancakes and sweet potato fries.
