Congratulations KALANI BARBER - Overall winner of the NPC Texas 2009 & 3rd place at JR USA's!!!
Kalani at the 2009 JR USA Championships where she placed 3rd!
While a part of the 2009 Fall Fitbody Team Kalani made incredible changes and showed the kind of dedication and determination it takes to be a future IFBB Pro. She battled through hurricanes, break-ins, illness and injury. Through lots of adversity, Kalani stayed focused and did what she had to do to make sure she was on track with her contest prep. At one point, I received a call from Kalani that a Hurricane had hit and filled her home and the first floor was filled with a foot of water. Not one to be stopped by such acts of nature, she grabbed her tuna pack and filled her protein shaker with bottle water instead of tap and kept right on her diet.
Kalani went on to compete this fall at the Heart of Texas show placing 4th and the NPC Kentucky Muscle. She not only is a drop dead gorgeous woman, she has the heart of a fighter and will be back next year looking to step on the National stage.
