
Well, the
countdown to the 2008 Fitness Olympia in Las Vegas has begun. It is now 7 weeks until the world's biggest, most prestigious Bodybuilding, Fitness & Figure show and I am so very excited about stepping on stage again. This has been a wonderful summer and I am blessed to have been able to take the time to 'invest' back into some of the areas of my life that get put on the back burner during contest prep. With renewed focus and determination I started truly preparing for this show 3 weeks ago.

From 10 weeks out, I have brought fitness back into the forefront of my focus. While I maintain a 'good, clean' eating style in the off season, I paid less attention to portion size and allowed myself to have a cheat meal when I wanted (not all the time!). During the last 3 weeks however, I have been hitting morning cardio again and watching my diet closely. I am making sure that I get all of my supplements and as promised, have been carrying my trusty pink 1/2 gallon water jug with me everywhere. I have to admit, this has been a welcome structure and plan for my days. Call me crazy, but I like knowing what I should be eating for each meal. So far, so good. Energy is great and I happy with my diet foods. Of course, when it is time to eat again I am ready and my salads are already growing larger and larger. Thank goodness for a stocked garden full of squash, zucchini and peppers! Good vegetables make this diet one that I actually enjoy.
Over the next 7 weeks, I will be giving you my play by play account of what I do to get ready for the Olympia. From my training program and cardio to routine practices to full disclosure on my diet and supplements, I am putting it all out there in my member's area for you to see. Right down to my first thing in the morning progress photos - no makeup artist or photoshopping here! Just the nitty gritty truth about how I feel, what I do and how I make it all fit into my life - without becoming my whole life. Yes, it is possible.
